Mordy is a struggling musician living in Los Angeles. His older sister Jane is a successful attorney in New Jersey. But when their widowed mother’s life becomes emotionally and financially taxed by her terrible, centenarian father, these two adult siblings are drawn together into an elaborate plot to relieve their mother’s burden and their own.

Told almost entirely via text messages, The Burdens is a dark, family comedy about how technology helps keep us close, while still enabling us to keep our distance. It’s sometimes easier to type something than it is to say it face to face. But please, be careful of auto-correct. It can be murder.

Masks and Vaccine Required

Patrons who do not comply with these procedures will be denied entry.

1. Vaccine Card or Vaccine Record: Bring a printed copy of your Vaccine Card, Vaccine Record, or have a digital image of it pulled up on your device and ready to show as you approach the theater’s entrance.

Negative Covid-19 PCR Test Result: People with exemptions must show proof of a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of the performance time or a negative antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance time. No over-the-counter, at-home test results will be accepted. Test results must show the name of the patron, date/time test was administered, and name of medical professional who administered the test (i.e. private practice, CVS, CityMD etc.)

2. Photo ID: All members of your party must present a valid photo ID in conjunction with their Vaccine Card, Vaccine Report, or Covid-19 Test Result.

3. Masks are required: All guests, regardless of age or vaccination status, are required to wear masks while inside the theater building.
